How do I export iCloud calendar to Google Calendar?

Here are the possible reasons why you might want to do this.
  1. You want Google Calendar to be the default calendar.
  2. You are moving from iPhone to Android powered phones such as Samsung, HTC etc... and you want the calendar to be moved across without doing anything... 
  3. You want to integrate the calendar in a website (Google calendar offers one of the ways to do this)
 
Step 1 - Export iCloud calendar
  1. Go to iCloud Calendar at www.icloud.com/calendar and sign in using your iCloud Apple ID and password.
  2. Publicly share a calendar.
  3. Select and copy the URL (web address) from that shared calendar, and paste it to the address field in your browser; do not press Enter or Return yet.
  4. Change "webcal" to "http", and then press Enter.
  5. An ICS file will download to your default downloads location. The calendar can be added to a calendar client like iCal on Mac or Outlook on a Windows PC.
  6. Once the download completes, unpublish the shared calendar.
 
Step 2 - Now import the calendar into Google calendar
 
  1. Log in to Google Calendar then go to settings or click here https://www.google.com/calendar/render#j (if the link does not work go to settings manually)
  2. There click on import calendar.
  3. Select the file you have saved in step 1 and click import.
Done.....
